Keyless Start

The one thing that grates about my new 35is is the lack of keyless engine start - my car doesn't have comfort access. Even the mondeo I have replaced had keyless start, and I really miss it.

I've seen a few posts about people fitting keyless entry to the doors, but nothing about keyless engine start.

Would this even be possible? Anyone got any ideas?

I have seen alarm systems configured to start cars up, even without you being in the car, but that's as far as it can go.

I am not going to say you should have ordered it with it, but guess we all have one thing at least we wish our car had....

I would have specced it on a brand new car. Mine is 23 months used though. I didn't want to pay a £10k premium so I could spec keyless start!

Do you get keyless start on a e89 ? Didn't think that was a option !
It's part of comfort access. I hadn't specced it originally but added it while waiting for build. If you think you might want a factory option not easily changed after delivery then order it. Too many mistakes in the past for me :-)

Same with cruise control.
It was a £250 option but (it was) seemingly impossible to retro fit. I don't know of that has changed.

That's another option I always get - don't know why as I never use it.

Mind you if it was an £800 option I wouldn't get it ;).
