Hi People,

Unfortunately some little sh*t bag keyed my bonnet at the weekend and it has gone right through to the primer. What I need is some friendly advice on the best way to get something like that fixed. Is a full bonnet respray the best option? Also whatever I need to get done does anybody know a good place in Norwich?

Sorry to hear your bad news that just makes you sick,

I had some work done at Coopers Bodyshop, Bessemer Road Norwich,

A company like Chips Away may be able to fix if it's not too deep :thumbsup:

Thanks for all the advice and sympathy posts! I've taken it into Coopers for a quote as suggested and I've taken it into East Bilney Coachworks as one of my friends had his 350z crashed into and they did an excellent job of repairing it. Also they are next door to each other and two quotes are better than one.

I'll keep you posted on progress.

Sorry to hear this.... You didn't say where you were based.... As the quality of outfits like chips away really depends on who you get.

Put some pictures up here.... As some of the guys here are masters when it comes to paintwork.... And I'm sure they can tell you of you need the entire bonnet resprayed.
 
Evening

I did say I was based in Norwich. I'll take some pictures when I get a chance but its hard to show the depth in a photo. Its basically a massive U shape which starts on one washer jet goes 3 foot down the bonnet and back up to the other washer jet. It is also deep enough to get your finger nail into.

I've had a couple of quotes as posted the one from BMW was £900 and the one from Bilney was £800, both plus change. That did include a respray of the rear bumper as I may have reversed into the Alps during a summer holiday in France :headbang: !

I was wondering at that price couldn't I buy an unmarked bonnet and rear bumper off here or ebay?
