KEY REPLACEMENT *HELP*

Hi all,

I'm living in New Zealand and i have a 2004 Z4 2.2 imported from Japan. Recently I lost my keys and I had to go to the official dealer and paid $410 NZ to replace the key from Germany. After waiting for 2 weeks, I finally got my key yesterday. The key was fine I can use it to unlock the car and start my engine but the THING is I can't use the remote, I'm going back to the dealer and ask for the reason, but I'm just wondering why the remote is not working and do I have to pay extra money to get this fixed? Help would be appreciated

No I think it should work as standard... dealer should sort it out.

I just has a 1 hour drive but the remote is still not working

you will need to program it, there is a how to on here somewhere, any specific key programmed features will have been lost though.

He's right - I've just bought a spare key and it needs syncing to the car ........
