Key Battery Replacement

I know that the key battery is rechargeable when it is in the ignition but I have bought a Z4 which has been unused for some time and so the keys have not done a good trip in a couple of years, one is working quite well but the other is pretty poor so I need to change the internal battery, who can tell me how to open the spare key to replace the battery?

I'm sure that once it is identified a spare rechargeable item can be found.

This is possible but requires some soldering. Another option is to get replacement keys, I've used BM Keys in East London, you can post your GM5 to them if not local.

I used this one, tabs in the right place and easy swap if you can use a soldering iron.

Google Automobile Locksmith and his refurb £28 by return. He did mine after I had it to bits and could not get it to work and did my sister in laws 2.0 ltr. key 2 weeks ago.
Wished I had gone straight to him instead of messing on.
