Karcher - longer hose or extension hose?

I have had my Karcher for a few years now and it's never missed a beat. The only issue I have is the host is quite short (can't believe I just said that!). I am looking at 2 options, either buying a replacement hose or an extension hose?

Has anyone had any experience with either? Here are a couple I'm looking at:

They do both in various sizes, so just wanted to know if there were any negatives I hadn't considered. Obviously the extension gives another point of failure, but the karcher fittings always seem to be pretty good so I don't imagine that would be too much of an issue.

Have used an extension on my Karcher for about 4yrs and had no problems apart from that the join gets easly snagged up on the wheels of the cars when dragging it about.
