well lets be objective about this; while I admit to still having my stars (because they've never been a problem, no kerb damage despite me having swiped a double apex bend once or twice on the way home from work

inside the car most of the time) and looking to swap them out for 18s shortly, apart from the aesthetics issue, whats the deal with having standard-sized wheels, around which the car was designed?
I'm not aware of anyone having handling problems with 16s - in fact I suspect they make RFTs easier to live with - its just a customising fad isn't it? Or is it "mine's bigger then yours" again...
I bet if I parked a Zed with non-standard 16s on it at a distance, you'd be hard-pressed to guess the wheel diameter to the nearest inch or two....
Having said that, I'm off shopping for wheels now, just thought I'd stir things up beforehand....
