I finally got home to the UK yesterday after having been in Italy for last 7 weeks (better weather than here) anyway got in the car to drive home from Teesside Airport, and a couple of things happened firstly, just as it started snowing and the windscreen wipers decided right at that point not to work, they did about 3 strokes and stopped in the middle of the screen, so remembering what I had on the forum I pulled over turned the car off waited a couple of minutes and restarted the car and they worked, yippee! however my joy was short lived as it stopped snowing I turned the wipers off and they kept going only to park in the middle of the sreen again, the stalk in the car seemed to have nop control over them, even trying to do a single wipe resulted in them going 6 or 7 times, anyway once the car had been running a while they started to operate more normally but the park position is now wrong , so I guess its time to look for grease on the wiper motor.
The other thing (and before anyone screams Search) I would just like a bit of clarification, the steering became very heavy to move from the striaight ahead position, so I ended up steering to far in either direction because of the force required to move the steering wheel, I just wondered if this was the dreaded sticky steering that there are few threads on.
Other than that its great to be home for a few weeks even if somewhat cold, I have to say though the Zed felt so strange after 7 weeks in a gutless A class Merc.
