...badges.

They were looking bad after jetwashing had removed the coloured stripes from the previous owner's/ebay seller's attempts. I tried peeling the old stuff off, but predictably it left some crap behind

A bit of IPA (rubbing alcohol/Propan-2-ol or whatever) plus a careful scrape with the craft knife and looking a bit cleaner.

I got some gloss finish self adhesive vinyl in white, black and a light grey, from a very kind customer. To be fair they had 20m rolls of 1200mm wide and I took about 5cm strips from each, so its not going to bankrupt them)

First of all apply the white covering all the area.

Then the grey, leaving the bit I wanted white

Finally the black.

Looking a lot neater now.
Wondering whether to mask and lacquer to further resist my over-zealous jetwashing....

The black one looks like it curves a bit towards the bottom left. Might just be the angel of the photo/curve of the badge.
Good effort

Great effort there. Well done for giving it a go yourself. I like the 'german' stripes myself.

Thanks all for the comments. I know the monochrome is a personal thing, we all have different coloured cars, underpants etc etc
Might do the 'Proper' colours as well, as the OH likes a change now and again.
But I will have to find a customer with vinyl in the following colours:-

Blue: Pantone process blue
Purple: Pantone 268
Red: Pantone warm red

Which are the correct pantone references for the colours I believe. (I just added this for people who might be searching)

Think its the curve of the badge. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it :P
