Congrats on the purchase. The Z3 is a completely different drive to the Z4. Will you be joining the zroadster.net and .org sites.

Hadnt considered joining another forum & tbh never heard of the above :( i,l take a look & maybe join up as newbie with a FS post :P see what response i get :D

Both .net and .org good sites with plenty of info. .net very helpful bunch and .org more focused on the roadster with some good how-go's. Nothing like this place of course but then thats probably unsurprising.

Get what you mean about the Z8 hints. Whereas the Z4 is all lovely, spaceshippy futurist flame, for me the Z3's lines, lumps and bumps hark back to classic sportscar days. Even the way the bonnet opens to reveal each flank of the front end and wheel arch. I reckon it's been treated pretty unfairly in sportscar history and one day, probably when there are only a few left, it will be hailed as a modern classic.

And it was a Bond car right?! No getting away from that even at its base level

It's amazing how the BMW Zeds divide opinion I was chatting to some Z3 owners over a coffee at a BMWCC meet not many of them like the E85 shape and would never swap . But a lot of them like the E89.

With the exception of the Coupe - I feel the reverse about the Z3R, I've never wanted one at the time in the early 2000s chose an MX-5 over one . I was smitten by the E85 from the moment it came out .

I will admit the Z3 has grown old gracefully and it has a fantastic set of owners and followers .

Just had a browse over on the zroadsternet / had a oooooooh ! moment in the classifieds
I just love all BM,s in PY & never seen one of these in it before , must be rare

Being sold to bereavement which is a shame & have no idea if its a good price ? Would appear so to me :?

If you could get the hardtop included for that price then I'd say it was still a bit rich for a 95k car. Personally I'd say that was worth around 8k.
