Just a quick hello

Hi All,

I just wanted to say hello and thank you all for the masses of information on this forum.

I plan to buy a Zed Roadster. I have no idea of the engine size, colour etc. But plan to set aside a 6/7k budget for one, so would probably be looking for a 2004 - 2007 model.
My main goal at this point is to just gather everyones input before I decide which I prefer. I'm planning on this being a nice 40th birthday present to myself. but thats still over 3 years away so i'll keep waiting until the right Zed comes along.

I've never driven a Beemer, never-mind a Z4. I'm hoping to use the Zed as a second car, so will also need advice on the best way of maintaining a stored car aswell.

Hi mate,

Welcome to the forum! 6-7k should get you a top-spec, well looked after roadster.

If you've never driven a Z4, i suggest you try and test-drive one of the 6-pot variants (2.5 or 3.0 engine), it'll certainly make you want to speed up that search!

Hi and welcome to the forum, i have not had mine that long and went for the 3.0l i would really recommend taking one for a test drive. i did and had to buy it there and then its the best car i have driven
