hi there, seeing as im new i thought id ask a few questions, hoping that you lot know your Z4's well :P

firstly does any body know what bulb the number plate bulb is? I'm looking into getting White LED ones.

Also, this may sound, well how can i put it... childish? but what is the loudest possibly exhaust? and the best of course?
(Don't want to be cutting corners in quality!)

Also, does any body have any clue how much it would cost to have both drivers seats and all leather components re-leathered?

Thanks for looking and any help in advance, Joe.

P.S pictures posted when i finally get out of bed!

I can't help on anything specifically, but why would you want to re-leather the seats and leather components? You're looking at a huge cost, and would be better looking for replacement seats and doorcards.

ah ok, i didn't really have a clue how much it would be.

Reason is, ive always secretly loved Red leather

Thanks, Joe

Ah, red leather should be fairly easy to come by. You may be able to swap your (presumably) black ones for some red ones if you ask on here.

An indication of cost, to re-leather would be about £750-1000 per seat, and about £200 each for the door cards.

Welcome - not sure I can agree with IK here on swapping to obtain red seats. They are very rare and in the history of this forum I'm only aware of 2 or perhaps 3 sets of seats ever to surface for sale. You need to search ebay, breakers adverts, etc. to have any chance of finding them, even more so if it's the sport variant you want.

Really? I personally think the red seats aren't very nice, and would swap them for black without the blink of an eye. They're both the same basic leather, not upgraded, so they're worth the same.

But, as cj10 says, it is rare for ANY seats to come up here, so you may be better buying the red ones from a breakers then selling yours here. Or maybe even offering the breaker £50-£100 to swap them over...?

Personal preference really. I like the black interior, personally don't think I could live with red for long. But that's the beauty of everyone liking different things :)

yeah good point! i'll have to go hunting.

on the subject of mods, im looking at some - Breyton Spirit Black - 19" or 20" with big Dishes

i only use my car on weekend so comfort isn't so needed, plus id take style over comfort for wheels

Joe.

Joe, I'd say drive the car for a while and get to know it and what you want before jumping in with a bunch of mods. Give you a chance to evaluate against what the rest of us have done too... as much as anything else, learn from our mistakes! It's personal preference of course, but there's little any of us have done without taking pictures.

Red interior

the above advice is spot on Joe, you should definitely wait a while before piling on the mods

Yeah your probably Right, im just going to upgrade the lights, Seeing more is always Helpful.

Can you get HID Conversion kits for a Z4 05 3.0i?

Also is it possible to have White LED running lights?

Joe :driving:

Just noticed Joe's from Essex, its defo an Essex thing to do the wheels and bling cars to death, even the local Toyota dealers put big rims on cars at customers requests. :D

yeah i am from essex 8)

But i aint no chav bruv!

only kidding, no im not a chav! but i do know style when i see it! why else would i of brought a Z4

Joe.

Hey joe, before you go slapping a crazy exhaust on your lovely Z, have a look in the how to section (or do a little search) for 'sound generator mod'...

All the fun of nice noisy acceleration for you, without chavvifying a great car!

Yeah i know what you mean Tweed, but i was more looking into a long life Exhaust system? They build custom Exhausts, so not incredibly chavy, but look nice and flush. 8)

Joe.
