Jeremy Clarkson does it again....

Yeah I saw that. Ooops.

Note the apologies later in the show, and the refusal to let him comment on Pontins holiday camp

I saw it as well, thought we were going to get an amusing comment on the Pontins issue too. Shame he wasn't allowed! I was thinking as that report came on, "really, why would you?" (ever go to Pontins).

Anyone else listen to him on Chris Moyles show yesterday morning... Sounds like a good christmas special on the 28th December from India. :)

He says it how he sees it, quite funny when taken in the gist it was meant.

It would sound a bit boring if he just stated the facts that they already earn 7.5% more than their private equivalent and have golden pension.

Is he such an idiot? Some of his comments are shots from the hip and cause annoyance, but they are free PR.
He's the one who messes in exotic cars for a living, travels the world in them and has millions in the bank.

and claims he has to work to earn his living????? like Topgear but not the crap that comes out of his so called mouth.

Think people either love him or hate him.. Personally I'm more of a lover than a hater. I just think he speaks his mind and doesnt pussy foot around. Granted sometimes he doesn't go about expressing his opinions in the most diplomatic manner but that's what makes him what he is and probably one of the reasons he is absoultely minted..

He is the automotives industry equivelant to Simon Cowell.

And I still beleive they should swap Louis Walsh for Mr Clarkson. That would make for entertaining saturday night TV :D

+1

I work in the public sector and I think Clarkson's comments have been taken way too seriously - everyone knows what he's like and in the context he made them they're fine IMO.

I take it we are aware of the full context of his comments chaps? Shame they only posted the second half of the discussion, it seems to have 'accidentally' got cut off just after the bit where he says "But this is the BBC and we have to give a balanced view, so...."

It was what we like to call A JOKE.

Get with the plot and stop jumping to conclusions.

I think he know's what he is doing... He knows his statements will set the cat amongst the pigeons and indirectly boost his status (the man people love to hate) which will in turn boost his bank balance.

Again, look at Simon Cowell. He was nearly left out to dry in America when he went over there with Pop Idol because of how he spoke his mind.. Now look at him. Loved by the Americans (because they love to hate him) and I can only imagine what his bank statements look like..

Just my two penneth..

Jeremy Clarkson does it again....

Generates more publicity, good or bad his profile goes up
