I saw a gorgeous red M roadster today, I'm not jealous of the car, just that mine is snowbound in a garage in CANADA and this was out cruising in Arizona. OK, just a little jealous of the car but not much, honest. I'm sure I could beat it with my new s35i, if I can get it out of the road and onto a dry patch. :D

Really sharp looking in red by the way.

Dunno why you would store a hardtop convertible for the winter... there's not much clearance issues with the E89 such that it couldn't be driven year round (with a set of nice winter tires plopped on) especially in Cow-Town.

... this coming from a Canadian who grew up in Oil Country. :evil:

I could barely get it in the garage the other day with a skiff of snow on the ground. It has "summer" tires on it.( I don't drive any of my BMW's in the winter, too many other fools on the road that can't drive. )

As for beating the M roadster, I wouldn't even try. I might give it a go to see how close we were but I have the greatest respect for M cars. Lots of time trials show how good the 335's and 135's are but until you drive an M, it's all just redneck bullsh*t. There is a feel to an M that you can't get in other cars. Remember, I just traded an M3 for this one. Why trade the M then; because I want to stay alive a little longer. There's too much temptation in the M to just nail it and disappear in the distance.....
