Jack Rubber Mount

The plastic / rubber mount for jacking point on the right side (drivers side) is missing. I can see there are 2 types on ebay. Which one is the right one? Also what holds it in place to stop this from happening again?

Obviously we can't see what you are referring to but it will be the same as the ones on the left side.
There is only one type on the e85/6 being a pad like eBay item 133177762276. They have a stalk that inserts on to the underbody and is secured with a push-peg.
The other thing you are probably seeing is an adaptor that locates in the jack pad providing a flat surface to jack against.

Can I ask what is possibly a very daft question - how does the block attach to the car?

I bought a replacement for my missing block. Offer it up to the car, push the pin in and it just falls straight off. I assume there is more to it than that. What am I missing?

I fitted one myself only a couple of weeks ago. It was as simple as you say, locate the lugs in the hole under the car and push home the pin. If it’s not staying put, either there’s something wrong with your hole or the parts you’ve bought are not very good. I got mine from AUTODOC.
