I think these look pretty good too http://myliftstand.com/ unless you want to do suspension work and get the wheels off the ground...

May be I need to come up with something between the two.....

This sits on top of the jack. The lug on the top locates in the jacking point socket under the car. I'll lift from underneath then put blocks (of wood) under this thing which I'll then lower down on to before removing the jack.

This area of mahogany should be good for over 50 tonnes (although I doubt that's the weak point......)

um, hope this is a mis-perception on my part perhaps, but it looks a bit tall to get under the zed in the first place? have u measured up?

More to the point, how do you get away with using the kitchen table area for a photo shoot & please don't tell me you constructed it there as well????

Definitely not built in the kitchen! Quite a lot of steel cutting with an angle grinder which is filthy. It was quite weird - I was in the garden most perturbed that I could smell someone's bonfire before I realised that the sparks from the angle grinder had ignited a pile of saw dust behind me. Considering this had been there ages and would have been soaked, then dried out this is pretty surprising. The years I've been using angle grinders I've never seen this before - made me feel like Bear Grylls (sort of.....)
