Jack and Axle Stands

I recently invested in a new low profile trolley jack and axle stands from SGS, with the plan of painting my calipers and hubs as they're looking a little rusty!

Where is the best place to jack the car up at the front and back, bearing in mind that I'll need somewhere to place the axle stands too?

The back you can jack of the center where the two re-enforcing strata meet and you can your stands under the jack positions in front of the rear wheels

The front you can jack on the jack positions behind the front wheels and place the stands under the wish bones

You could also jack on the rear jacking points high enough to place stands under front points. Then jack rear as stated before.

OK, thanks. Never used axle stands before so a little nervous about causing damage to the underside of the car!

Just don't put them under any thing you would not put the jack on

The jacking points are the post stable points to put them

Also to be sure just give the car a little rock to make sure it's not going to fall off before you get under it

I always leave my jack under the center at the rear where the reinforcing bars meet just up enough so it's touching but not taking any weight just encased it does fall while your under it
