j24's Z4 Coupe

The car looks great and you must have spent quite a bit in the past year!

Is it a toy or do you use it as a daily driver?

I have had mine for 18months and despite not really using it it is quite surprising how much you can spend on them.

I was lucky/unlucky in that somebody hit mine in the first week of ownership so it had a new front bumper cover and I also got the drivers side wing painted which had a big stone chip when I bought it but I would imagine your bodyshop bill wasn't cheap!

Apologies for the insanely late reply curvature - somehow I completely missed it!

Ha, yes - it's been a little bit of an expensive year, and the bodyshop bill is probably top of the list on that front! But hoping a lot of the maintenance/preventative maintenance and other work I've done will be good for another fair few years... 🤞

It very much falls into the 'toy' category... but once every so often I can justify it's existence as a second car if my wife is out in the daily!

Sorry to hear about the first week of ownership adventures... hope it's been a little more smooth sailing since then! :)

I've been a bit quiet on the forum recently, life's been a little busy - but a big milestone as my zed went in for it's first MOT under my ownership today. Hard to believe it's been almost a year since I bought it!

I took it to a local BMW Indy - Mill Lane Automotive in Bristol. I've used them for a couple of things the past year and have been pretty happy with the service, would happily recommend them as a decent option if anyone is in the Bristol area and looking for a BMW indy.

Anyway, happy to report it's come out with a fresh MOT and no advisories! :driving:

Now off to pay that nice expensive vehicle tax that's due at the end of the month...

Good to hear. I'm near to Bristol and will require some preventative maintenance next year so might have to give Mill Lane a shout.
