It's Tulpen Time!

First day off from being busier than Big Barry McBusy from Busytown in a while today so took advantage of the relatively fair conditions to go and scope the tulips with my good ladyfriend Laura.
What an absolute riot of colour the fields around Lisse are at this time of year!
We elected to avoid the touristy Keukenhof in favour of a romp around the tulip, daffs and crocus fields where the bulbs are grown and harvested as the sight and smells are simply spectacular and thoroughly intoxicating!

Lau's favourite colour apparently. Whodathunkit!

Deep purple.

Then a romp around the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, a lovely area of the coastal dunes south of Zandvoort comprising a veritable menagerie of canals, dunes, animals, flora and fauna.
Returning to the empty carpark we found Jeert and Joop munching away in close proximity to another little beast....

...whereupon I sent in my Exocet secret weapon scarer/intimidator of all wild and timid animalkind to see off the furry horned beasts. 'Go get 'em grrl!'

ahh, i see what you were geting at! Nah, we had our 'time' 16 years ago and decided it works best as friends :friends: so we're just 'bezzies' these days! :wink:
If I was going to propose to someone though I think there are more romantic places than a windswept field just off the dutch coast
