I always thought I'd keep it for ever :-(

I was a very lucky boy at 23, given the opportunity to pick a lease car with my company, I went down the list and chose the fastest thing to 60. Had never sat in an M Coupe let alone test driven one but figured an M car is an M car. My mate helped me pick the options, I really didnt have a clue !! How lucky was I that BMW had it covered for me, what a car ! ! I'll never forget the faces at sytner when I turned up in hoodie and bassball cap and asked to sit in the demo, they didnt want to know, 2 weeks later I dropped mine in for the 1200 running in service, bunch of toads!

That was 3 years and 50,700 miles ago. The car was picked up last Monday as BMW wanted 21K to buy out and it wasnt worth that in my opinion. It was however the most exhillerating car I'd ever been in and I will sorely miss it.

For all those picking up 2nd hand Z4 M's at the moment i envy the excitement you must feel when your about to pick them up !
Perhaps one of the best M cars in recent times when you compare to the fatter M3 and bonkers X5 and X6.

Anyways, I wont be on here much so take care everyone.

And if anyone wants to know, its being replaced by a Noble.
See you at Le Mans !

Sorry to see you go, there's always the option of buying one for yourself but at 26(?) you may have other more pressing priorities.
good luck... :(

sorry to see such a fine looking example go!

great looking car. good luck with the noble. hope to see you back!

23 with a Z4m :o

All the best with the Noble - pop some pics up too!

It was the car or a house, you cant race a house as somebody once said :-)

I should add the insurance and lease was organised through my employer at the time (Oracle) and it was a blanket rate regardless of car :o Honda Jazz / Z4 M / Lambo - they where all the same rate.

Pop a pick up of the Noble will look out for you at Le-Mans

Where did you say you where staying this year ? There was a lemans thread somewhere. I did the whole camping blanche thing first time round, last time and this year we are a bit further away : http://www.chateau-de-chanteloup.com/CHANTELOUP2008/GB/

Oh you lucky sod. A brand new Z4 M at 23 funded by your company!
You should do a little write up on the Noble - how it compares to the Z.

Enjoy, and good luck with the future :)

I assume you mean the insurance was flat rate, not the insurance and lease? I also had a fleet policy a while back and it was £400PA to drive anything...madness really!

Good call on the Noble
