So when I use the wipers they leave smeary marks across the windscreen.

What do people use to clean the screen?

If that doesn't work then I'll change the wiper blades.

The bmw screenwash seems to work well as a degreaser for me! could also try some rainex on the glass itself.

Tap water with a drop of washing up liquid and a dash of white vinegar in it.
I don't actually mean I clean it myself, I have a husband to do that...... :)

Try cleaning the blade rubbers with Rainex or Isopropyl alchohol (Same thing, I believe ) ....they get greasy and tar deposits !

If normal cleaning chemicals, IPA or water/vinegar and newspaper don't work, it may be bonded contaminants on the screen so try using a fine clay or Gtechniq G4 glass polish
