I think that a lot of you people are comparing apples with oranges...

My advice - leave well alone and get adjustable top mounts from KW. ...

How will that effect the ride?

It will not, but it will improve turn in and take away the understeer, which BMW dialed in. That is my biggest gripe with the car...

Is the shorter wheelbase also a factor in increasing "aquaplaning"?

I have to say that with the heavy rain today I find the Z4 M very twitchy if you hit a standing pool of water (especially when on the motorway at speed), much more so than other cars I have had. You can certainly feel the back end slip!!!!

Makes it quite embarassing if you end up driving a bit more tentatively (as I did today) only to see the white van man storm past....
