is this a good deal?

I don't know if you have seen the finance offer BMW has on E89, the figures shown are for Sdrive23i SE.

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/pricesan...1JP,00.html?offerAction=showOffer&offerId=374

what confuses me is that on the line-up of the engines, there is no mention of this model anymore!
also, if you get this, do you automatically get the spec upgrade, in this case Media Package?

would prefer the M bodykit to SE, tempted but not enough I think.what other essential options to go for, if you were getting one.

any thoughts on this matter is appreciated.

It looks quite attractive. Credit agreement fee used to be quite expensive. Most people in the past borrowed money from the banks to avoid higher interest rate and other one-off charges. BMW Finance now tries to be more competitive.

I think you can only have either finance offer or complimentary specification upgrade. The dealer deposit contribution is massive (over 16%). I only got 9% off on my 23i M Sport last year.

Connectivity package and Loudspeakers System - Business are must have options. If you want a SE model, then Sports Seats and 18" wheels as well.

I would agree with ksher - it would either be finance offer or complimentary specification upgrade. Are they just looking to clear existing 23i build slots before the new model line-up arrives?

Looks like you can have both to me, that finance deal is not as good as the one I got on my 35i M-Sport, and I had the free spec upgrade. So looks pretty good to me.

if you don't mind me asking, what was your finance offer then :poke:

the changes in the engine side of the production is rather confusing :headbang:

APR was 5.8%, this was the deal they ran on orders placed before the end of April. But I for sure got that rate and the spec upgrade, might be worth seeing if there is further movement. Can't remember exacgly what my full discount ended at, but was just over 14% I think.

I think BMW may have some built 23i SE that need to be sold. This is why they offer competitive rate. But the website suggests that the finance deal is available to some models. You probably can get SE and M Sport models as well. Better ask dealers to confirm what models for finance offer and complimentary upgrade.

while searching on Cooper's website, found this:

interestingly enough, the figures are the same as the other one but this one is for the M spec and few other bits.

Hmm interesting, I'm sure that's a mistake though 'cos the OTR price they are using is the SE and not the M Sport. Be a good deal if you could get that one, I'm tempted myself!

exactly my point, if they have made a mistake, not buyer's fault, is it? I am just emailing them to find out.

although I already knew this is cock-up on their behalf, but worth asking :D printing error was the answer :headbang:

wish they'd have honour their mistake :poke:

Wondermike, just hang on till the end of August when MB dealers start selling off their new SLK demonstrators... :P

Ah yeah, I have got my heart set on a 28i auto now, just waiting until next year to see what bargains can be had.

SLK is just so expensive for the spec!

Auto Express and Autocar both place the new SLK behind the Z4 the their group tests. :)

I'll need to remember that one when/if my neighbours eventually get theirs! :P
