Is the Z4M wider than the 3.0si?

I.e does it have flared arches and/or a wider track or wider wheels? Do the M wheels fit the 3.0si?

Also, how do people feel a modified 3.0si with a supercharger would compare to a standard Z4M? As you can probably tell, I can't afford an M. But I do really like the Z4 and want to find out how realistic it is to hope I could replicate the driving experience to an extent.

Not sure.

224 wheels will fit on the 3.0si.

It'll be as fast as an ///M in a straight line, but the ///M is more than just the engine and power. The suspension, steering, brakes and exhaust are completetly different.

My opinion would be that you'll start to overwhelm the rest of the cars components resulting in an expensive list of further upgrades.

Besides, A supercharger kit would cost far more than the difference between the ///M and the 3.0si at current prices.

Have a look around, the price of the Ms are very appealing. You can pick a decent one up from 14k+

Z4M wheels will go onto a 3.0. I have bought a set for winter wheels but the offsets are different to the 3.0 due to the rear axle being shorter on the M, this meaning that the wheels will protude more on the rear than they do on the M.

Also just to confrim you cannot supercharge a 3.0si. This car is running the N52 engine which at present there is no supercharger kit available for. You can however supercharge the pre-facelift 3.0 car which runs the M54 engine. ESS tuning do a supercharger kit for this engine although as mentioned before you will also need to look at brakes, suspension and an LSD to get the power down..

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks guys. I may buy the earlier car then. I would want to fit the appropriate handling mods but my overall budget is probably £11k tops, so I just can't afford an M. :(

Keep saving. Bottom end M roadsters are hitting 12k for the ones which are struggling to sell. Think one listed on the forum went for that recently?

Don't want to still be catching the bus in 6 months lol.

Going to drive a 350Z, an M3 and a Z4M and see how I feel. The Z would be the perfect car for my Euro road trip next summer though I reckon.
