Is Michael Schumacher really the Stig of Top Gear?

Did anyone watch Top Gear tonight? I don't think Schumacher would spend his time testing cars for BBC.

Watched it,no chance of shooy being the stig, they couldnt pay him enuff money
as all the mps have it.

But he used his own Ferrari FXX in the show.

"Ferrari has built 30, expanding the original 29 that were planned. These have all been sold to pre-selected past Ferrari customers, with the exception of one which was retained by Ferrari S.p.A. Ferrari's F1 World Champion driver, Michael Schumacher, received the 30th. Schumacher's FXX differs from others in that it is the only black FXX without a stripe, it comes with red trim on the wheels, it has matte exhaust tips (regular FXX's have chrome tips), and his personal logo is stitched on the racing seats."

and i bet he gets to takes his home with him, who would spend £1,000,000 on a car they couldnt use without Ferrari's permission and only use on a track?

He was just there for the day to drive that car. He came over with the FXXX and is probably the best driver for the car - hence the hugely better laptime. I'm 100% sure there have been 3+ other Stigs through the various seasons - one was Perry McCarthy.

I thought the lap of the FXX was best I had seen on the programme, but even when Schuey came in at first with the helmeton it was obvious that it was not THE Stig.... the curries seem to have had an effect on his waist line..

If you watched it carefully, you could see Schumachers private jet in the background on the lap...

It was a ploy as the real Stig (or one of them ...) was unmasked after the end of the last series, so in the show they just unmasked another one (as a joke).

I watched it. I'm sure it had people going for a while but i doubt he is.

The lap in the reasonably priced car made me laugh

Wasn't Ben Collins of http://www.collinsautosport.com supposed to be one of the Stigs. I know he has been seen at Silverstone when they were filming one of their races there and also named in the Health & Safety Exec report to the Hammond crash a few years ago as a "consultant".
