Is it possible to change rear springs alone?!

I've seen photos and videos of a helper standing on the brakes to enable the springs to be removed and replaced. Is it possible to do it without a helper? Also do you need someone else in order to reattach the shock bolt afterwards?

I've heard you can use a second jack somewhere?

I fitted mine myself, 15 mins per side. It helps if you have a long bar to use as a lever rather than standing on the hub.

I fitted H&R springs, which are shorter than the standard springs. It may be more of a squeeze fitting standard springs.

You can fit the fronts alone too..

Officially you need to disconnect the rear driveshafts at the diff flanges.
The reason for this is that if you stand on (or push down on) the suspension arm with the shock loose, it bends down so much that it deforms the flange on which the rubber drive shaft cv boot is clamped which can result in leaking (which is an MOT failure I think). In worst case scenario you can break the cage inside the outer drive shaft cv joint.
It is described in TIS.
You also risk breaking the anti rollbar linkeage.
