Do I need to get the 6 disc changer option to view dvd's while stationary or is it just standard?

standard. the dashboard player plays dvds.

If you have prof nav, do not bother with a CD changer anyway. - the hard disk storage is perfect.

Standard if you have iDrive of course ;) Otherwise watching a DVD could be really interesting... Perhaps non iDrive cars play it on the screen, HUD stylee :)

Has anyone actually ever watched a DVD in their zed? I've just tested one to see if it works but I can't ever see me being in a situation where I sit and watch a film in the car!

I used it once, while waiting for a friend, who is notoriously slow in getting ready. I didn't go in their house as they were going to be 'just a few minutes' each time I asked so I sat in the car and watched a movie... half an entire hollywood movie... she takes an age to get ready!

I listen to films when i'm on a long journey . then, when stuck in traffic on the motorway, i watch.

Reservior Dogs, Layer Cake in car at the mo.

Have tested it with Waynes World, but never actually sat and watched it. Did originally consider the TV option, but again, never sit in the car unless driving, so a waste of money.

You can bypass the "video in motion" restriction, but would be too dangerous for me to have anything playing while driving!

mine has it too, i had no idea! never use the CD player anyway so will leave a DVD in there, for that rare occasion when i am stuck in traffic and not moving obviously! :D
