Ipodcarkitdirect - word of warning.

I ordered a Dension GW 300 from these guys which I returned under their 30 day satisfaction guarantee. I returned it due to the audio text not showing on the head unit so it's no better than the mp3 CD changer that I already have in the car (I only wanted the USB functionality as I'm not an Apple disciple).

2 weeks on and still no refund. I have sent a couple of polite emails and all they are saying is they need to do lots and lots of 'tests' on the unit before they can refund! What a load of b*ll*cks; if it's faulty I need a refund anyway!!

I would say avoid this company.

Thanks for the warning. Unfortunately in this difficult financial climate any company will be reluctant to return money already in their account. Persistance and a posted letter requesting refund within 7 days I would suggest.

Sorry to hear that.

I've just bought a Dice Silverline Duo which works really well with the Business stereo (uses steering wheel controls, text display etc), and the latest firmware update to the Dice gives multi line text display on the navigation unit, so a much cheaper option that the Intravee and other box of tricks you need to make it work. It was £109. It charges the iPhone or iPod and i think you can add other USB devices to it.

If you paid by credit card, send one last mail to the supplier telling them that you want a refund within 5 working days or you will raise a dispute with the card company. Then take it up with the card company. In my experience (Mastercard) they were very good and they credited my account immediately.

i paid £285, but that included the steering wheel control unit, i think that was a wast of time fitting

yes it works but only very limited functions, i can't recall what functions you get, but there are not many buttons on the MFSW so therfore you have little buttons to use, i would have to check but i'm susre the volume works

i would say don't bother with the steering wheel control unit, the parrot buttons work fine, i have put mine near the hand brake

I was an idiot and ordered it using a debit card :headbang:

I think Visa still offer some sort of chargeback protection but it's not as good as credit protection...will give them until next week before I start writing stronger letters/emails. Companies like this are such a pain in the ar*se!

Depends on your bank account. My Credit card / Debit card protection is identical as it is tied to the account, not which card I use.

An update to this....Ipodcarkitdirect - what a terrible company. I still have no refund from them nearly 3 weeks after returning the item. All i have had is endless endless promises that the refund will be processed ASAP with nothing being done.

I am seeking my money through Visa chargeback and will be reporting them to their local Office of Fair Trading.

I strongly advice people to stay well away from this bunch of rip-off muppets!!
