Well - just picked it up - no photos as its dark but drove home with the roof down :)

Anyone had any problems with ipod connection?

I have the y cable and we tried 2 at the dealers but they were confused and I was keen to drive!

its a 2013 1.8

I am using a first gen ipod touch and just wondered if anyone else had any problems or is it a case of taking it back (as the dealer has asked me too) for something to be fixed replaced.

Right get dinner on for the kids and off out in it again :)

On that model year I don't think you need the Y cable, just use the normal apple USB to iPod cable (the white one that comes with the iPod).

Thats a good idea - I will try that in a few mins - He seemed to think it was needed - got them to throw it in free anyhow

Dare I say the usual....

:worthless:

 :driving:

I've had mine since it was launched and still take it out at night sometimes for a drive. She was a bitch to me at the start but like most long term relationships, we've grown accustomed to each other. Besides with over 300bhp all is forgotten with a press of the loud pedal.

Enjoy your drive!

HA HA - its dark!

Sorted got in the car and it was working - tried with just the ipod cable and it didnt work - my Scirroco was the same if you connected it when the car was started it mucked up the ipod connection for some reason which is what the dealer did - working now though with the Y cable - thanks for your help photos will follow

Unless (like maniac) you've got a massive music collection, just use a USB stick. Why leave an expensive iPod in the car - or forget to take it out with you!
