Hi everybody

I have just upgraded my contract and got the iphone to replace my blackberry, I was wondering if you could get a car cradle for it?
BMW don't do one for my Blackberry (I assume the iphone pairs O.K with an 06 Z4M) which was irritating.

Try Brodit.com they have all the cradles you need, i have gone for the 875246 holder with the 853655 mount not charging but discrete and look good, i use a THB handsfree kit for the rest so cant help.

1st post - welcome to the Forum.... :thumbsup:
 
BMW do one for the iPhone. Depends on your spec of car and you have the section under the arm rest for the snap in unit. Check your dealer

I assume you have f/f Bluetooth
There is another post where the user was having trouble pairing an early 06 Z4 with an iphone .
iPhones can be problematic pairing and the other poster could not pair with an early 06 but he did have Pro Sat Nav
and was faced with buying a new command unit.
Don't know whether normal B/T works with an 06 however my April 07 pairs happily.
Yes you can get the BMW Cradle but like me you will probably need a new eject box( which the cradle fits into)
07 was pre iPhone and the iPhone cradle is wider than the fitted ( in 2007 )eject box ( iPhones are wider than most phones)
I would try to pair before spending on cradle etc
To pair I suggest clearing all pairings from car B/T first

I had the pairing problems - need an updated BT box in the back. Seems quite uncommon. Also got the cradle, its £65 quid for the snap in. The problem is you need a new bit for the snap in to snap into. I knew this, but the garage seemed not to when they sait it would fit, so put the other bit in free of charge when they disovered it did not. I believe it is expensive and difficult to fit - it took the BMW service guys 3 hours they claimed. Works a treat though.

Unfortunately the parts guys at my Dealer were on the ball and knew it needed a new eject box yup expensive and time to fit
but oh well :cry:
