iPhone update affecting bluetooth?

Hi guys,

I've got an iphone 4 and it's been linked up with my bluetooth in the zed for a few months and I have never had any problems with it.

Today however, I had an incoming call but the ring through the car speakers was really quiet and when I answered the call, the voice was really quiet too. They could hear me clearly though.

I've tried turning the volume up on the steering wheel and by the radio but it doesn't improve the phone volume. I've tried raising the volume on the phone too but it doesn't affect it. The only thing I can think that has changed since I used it in the car last is that I updated the iphone software last night and maybe that's affected it.

Is anyone else having the same issue or has it happened in the past?

Nope My iP4 and 3G both running 4.1 pair and work fine .

Try deleting iP4 from Z4 and reset the phone and then pair from scratch

You could also try rebooting the iPhone (hold the sleep/home button until Apple icon appears ignoring the turn off slider )

I had a similar problem when I first bought the car. As suggested above deleting the iphone from the z4 and then pairing again from scratch worked for me.

Yep a delete all/re-pair should do it. Mine seems to have got much louder with recent IOS's, which is nice :)

The stealer had to connect mine as my car didn't come with instructions/ laminated sheet. Can anyone give me a quick lesson? :)

Tim
pm me and I will send a pdf of the relevant pages from the manual( prepared earlier for another forum member)

The old iPhone software was very quirky for BT connection. The new version 4.1 seems to have solved the problem for me at least.
