IMO, I doubt you'll see a phone launched with a convex screen (like the one in the picture), AIUI, curved screens are perceived to be more 'usable' if they are concave rather than convex, i.e. they curve inwards rather than outwards so the left/right edges are closer to the user than the centre. Convex screens are likely to suffer from visual artifacts towards the edges.Jembo said:A curved design gives slightly more surface area = bigger screen for same width.
