iPhone 4 docking in the drop down middle console?

I did do a search for this but I couldn't work out if it's actually possible or not and what I would need!

So, can I get a dock for my iphone 4 to work in the centre console? It looks like someone has tried to modify my phone crable before by cutting away some of the plastic which according to the previous owner was something to do with fitting an iphone 4 dock?

If you've got the original phone kit, then you'll probably need both a base unit, and a snap-in adapter.

Base unit/eject box (p/n 84212222122)...


Snap-in adapter (p/n 84212199389)...

The Original snap-in box certainly fitted to up to 2007 does not accept the iPhone cradles .My 2007 required a new snap in box to take an iPhone 3G ( that far back
The Snapin box has been updated several times
Your Vin will tell the Dealer the correct current level of the box ( accepts the snap in cradle)

Anyone know if the following will work? Has a different part number printed on it but looks the same? Also, how is it that rolls royce are using the same parts of bmw/mini?!

The simplest way is to give your Dealer the vin and they can tell you the correct part # for your car and the particular phone you want to use
The original eject box depending on age of car and usually has to upgraded for iPhones and smart phones generally as they are wider than original design
