Any ideas what the best way to connect up the new iphone is? It works (plays music) via the ipod cable in the glove box but doesn't charge??

Also, has anyone purchased the snap in adaptor for the phone. My phone connects via Bluetooth but it would be good to charge it. I gather there is one available but not sure it works/fits in the Z4!?

I posted this question the other day.

There is a BMW adapter but not sure it fits the Z4. Anyway, I dont think its worth £80 when I might only have the phone another 12 months. Plus you cant use the aux in when its connected :(

Does the 3G iPhone connect properly, ie full contact details on screen etc? I tried the older version and it didn't work.

I bought the iphone adaptor but it didnt fit the phone properly - car no problem but phone was too tight! Wierd!

I keep an ipod in the car for music and just have my iphone on bluetooth in my pocket. Works great!

All my contact details transferred ok from my iphone 3G running the latest firmware. I don't particularly like the display on the nav screen as there aren't enough characters to display everything - but I dont think theres much I can do about that.
