hi, im kev and all being well will be looking to buy a 2nd hand z4 and would like to know if there are any possible faults i should look for and any other advice that would help me make the right choice.

There's not really much to speak about...
IMO, the most important think is an independent inspection, if buying privately & out of warranty.
 
As above make sure you get the car checked out as its going to cost if it goes wrong and check for accident damage as its not going to have been driven slowly.
