Intravee's future

I've been reading posts on forums discussing the intravee ii module & was considering buying one with the Alpine kca-420i unit until I read on Toysinyourcar.com a thread by a guy called Richard who worked for Intravee saying that the owner, Simon, passed away in December 2012. It's a great sadness he has passed away and some of you might think this a bit cold of me but my reason for being unclear about buying a unit now is apparently all the data about this device was on his home computer which no-one at intravee has access to so chance of any aftersales support is slim.
So my question is for those who already have the unit installed; is it stable enough to run without any hardware or software support or was there some known issues with it that need resolved?
I will be installing it in an E85 Z4.

The unit is still being supported - buy one you won't regret it.

See http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/forum/117-intravee/

No problems at all it's very stable, Richard is still supporting the Intravee and there have been several firmware updates and new features added

yep no issues, i have one and keep it up to date with the latest firmware from richard. definitely recommend.
