Intravee not recognising iPhone

Hi all, bit of a strange one here :?

My Z4M has nav and intravee, and generally has been working fine. However a few days ago, it has stopped recognising when I connect my iPhone.
Music will still play, however the screen just says 'No iPod' instead of showing track info. The steering wheel controls will no longer change what track is playing.
So, i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how i might fix this, or even what I might have done to stop it recognising it in the first place, as i have no idea

markplant: No, there was no software update on the phone between it working and not working.

mac27040: I'm ashamed to say I have no idea It was fitted in the car when i bought it and i've done no fiddling with it as it was fine for all i was using it for until recently.
How do i go about finding out what software version it is?

I'd imagine in a sub menu it would give you a version number,
