The last email I had from them was that they were going to add a Z4 to the menu...

Must have been one of the very last versions then as mine hasn't got it. Another job to do.
the version i got from you had e46/z4

If anyone has INPA and electric folding mirrors then it may be possible to take a log to find out what the iBus commands are to make them fold in a Z4.

Hi Richard - we tried this in the past though and I think the conclusion was that the iBus commands were not enough.

You sent me some trial versions to see if it would work and we got stuck in the end as it seems to be missing something.

That's correct, but the commands were from an E46. As far as I know, no one has ever tried to log the commands INPA sends to test the mirror folding mechanism on a Z4. The Z4 is similar to the E46, so the K-Bus that INPA uses should be directly connected to the iBus which woudld enable logging of INPA over the iBus.

You sent some logs of folding the mirrors normally, via the fold button, there were no iBus commands to fold the mirrors indicating that the mirrors are not usually folded by iBus messages - as is the case in the E39 for example. In some E46 the mirror modules send iBus messages, in other they don't. Often INPA sends specific diagnostic message, so even if there is not a 'day to day' iBus message there may be a diagnostic one.

hate to add a new guy to the equation but I thought the intravee II just added iPod control but seems it does more.

Google isn't being my friend when searching so a 101 would be nice, thanks

This will give you some ideas of what the Intravee can do

All UK spec cars have the wiring in place, just taped under the console.

I did not have a CD changer either in my car.

Thanks

I assume it's the little panel above the ashtray?

Or at the back where the CD changer should be?

So that's where the cables are?

Just trying to anticipate how much wiring I have to do, and the cars not with me

Lift the rear bulkhead carpet in the boot. The wiring bundle runs along the bottom of the bulkhead and you should be able to locate the two CD changer plugs
