guys which is better gruppe intakes or AFE ?!

which gives more power, the AFE is cheaper and from what i read it gives more HP than the gruppe !! the gruppe is expensive but how come it's not stronger than the AFE

from what i know any thing expensive is better than the cheep ones, how come this is the opposite.

can i install the intake with out replacing the exhaust ? keep the stock one is it gonna handle it

Will have my car on an RR in the next month or two, but until then I can't comment about the power increase (if any) it gives.

However, I can tell you that most people can only compare the sound it makes to that of a CSL... it barks!

what do u mean by RR ?

ok in ur opinion what do think it's better AFE or gruppe ?!!

first i care about the power then sound

can i fit an intake without changing my exhaust ?!!

YES, you can fit it without changing your exhaust...but you will have to remove the existing airbox (no big deal) I doubt that you will be able to feel the extra power with either one,an increase of 5 to 15 hp is not going to be really felt. I have the gruppem and do LOVE the way it sounds, but don't really feel the extra hp change :)

R&R.....Rest and relaxation

the gruppe is not fully covered right it's open from the front.

coz i've heard that open intakes are not good.

they say that the AFE gives u more than 11 or 15 hp, it gives 25 hp !!

I don't have much faith in that. It really depends on what has been done to the motor. An for a filter to give an increase of 25HP then the motor would need ALOT of work done to it. Do they have any dynos posted from stock vehicles to prove their claim?

no i didn't check for any dyno tests.

no mine is 03.

i also want to get i supercharger but don't no which one is better VF or ESS but i'm having a hard time contacting them.

Yes, sorry - RR in my previous post refers to a Rolling Road/Dyno day. I have signed up for one over on zed-cars.eu, which they are probably going to run in Sept or October I believe. Quite looking forward to seeing how things go!

one of the guys on the old Z4um got the ESS and was VERY pleased, his biggest problem after the install was running out of Tach so quickly.....but he did so with an enormous smile on his face. I've been thinking Ess twin screw for my 03 but need to find someone I trust for the install..whole kit is about $7000.00

sorry but what so u mean by Tach ?!

do u know any thing about the VF ?!!

i was also thinkin of going with the ESS, ur talkin about the TS2 not 1 right
coz i have auto trans and someone told me that i can't go for the TS2 on my trans.

Tach----he redlined so fast....yeah TS2 closest ESS to me is in New York, going to call today and find out what the package price would be if I took It up there and had them Install

i'm wondering about the sport button, know the Z is not on it's full power when the sport button is off, when i turn on the sport it gives me the full power is that right or i understand it in a wrong way ?!!

know if i fit any thing to the car like exaust or a supercharger would it be the same thing with or without the sport button or is it gonna be more power full with the sport on.

do i keep it all the time on or i don't have to when i fit the super

The sport button only decreases the amount of movement required in the gas pedal to achieve full acceleration, it does not provide more power. It also makes the steering a little more responsive.
