Intermittent paddle shift

Hello just purchased a 35is ,the paddle shift seems to be working intermittently.when in manual mode .But the dct gears change perfectly using the gearstick.As any one experienced the same issues any advise much appreciated.

Do the paddles work consistently in Sport with the gear stick pushed to the left?

The paddles are intermittent when the gearstick is pushed to the left for Manuel mode but it works fine using the gearstick.
