Intermittent Battery Warning Light

Hi all,
My battery warning light keeps coming on intermittently. One journey it will be on (from when I turn on the ignition) and the next journey it won't come on at all.
I'm guessing it may mean my alternator is on the way out? Any ideas please?

Well documented fault

Will probably throw a BSD code

The remedy I think is to replace the diode pack on the back of the alternator

The boys are correct, alternator on the way out, had the same on one of our Zedshed Cymru members cars, put a rebuilt alternator in that and solved the issue. Just check the brand of alternator on your car if you plan to just change the regulator pack in yours. If its been changed before it may not be a Bosch unit and the regulator packs differ with other brands.
