Interior trim colour change

A few of you know that I was looking to find a replacement for the Interior drivers door grab handle trim (Shadow line Chrome).

I thought that I had managed to locate one thanks to a few members on here, but alas this was not the correct colour.

I have decided to change the entire trim inside the car which is currently this Shadow line colour(thanks to a financial contribution from BMW)


The questions I have are:
1. What colour options are available to me for this trim?
2. The Car has Champagne Sports Seats, and Piano trim so what colour should I go for when changing the trim? (would look the best)


I would upload a pic, but haven't worked out how this can easily be done without 1st registering with another site to host the image :oops:

When you say piano i take it you mean piano black dash and center consul ?

Re the door handles i think they would look great in black to match the rest of the trim.
 
So you have a piano black dash and console and shadow line grab trims. Right?

And you just want to change the colour of the grab handles or the dash and center piano sections as well?

And yes you have to register with photobucket or similar to upload a pic :)
 
Hi Guys,

Yes I have Piano black dash and center section which I want to keep. From what I can tell the Shadow line bits that I want to replace are as follows.

1. Inside door opening handles
2. Binnacles over speedo and Rev gauges
3. Air Vent center metallic trim
4. Gear lever
5. Inside door grab handles
6. Roll over hoop covers

Are these bits only available in Shadowline or Silver? If possible I would of just changed the Inside door handles to black, but that isn't a colour they come in. ( I don't really want to start spraying stuff if it can be avoided)

Re the roll bar covers the M.Roadsters have black covers but no one can find a part number even BMW Stealers have tried myself so gonna buy a standard set and spray them.
 
ooh... there's an idea; piano blacked door clasp trim...
I just replaced driver's side one and it's a different colour to passenger side, so maybe I'll see if I can find a way to make them piano black

Hopefully there should be some pics of my car that RedZedFour offered to post for me.

Pls do let me know what colours other than silver are available as options. Maybe even individual trim colours if you know of any. I did look at some online brochures, but couldn't make out what colours are available.

Personally as you have the Piano Black I would have a go at spraying the door pulls, buy a pair from http://www.partsauction.co.uk and you have nothing to loose if you dont link them, just put the original ones back.

Regarding the Gear knob get a ZHP short shift, it a favorite on the forum as well.
