Interior lights turn on when door handle pulled from outside?

Does your interior light turn on when you pull on the outside door handle when the car is off and locked up?

Can someone drain your battery by repeatedly doing so?

Nope just checked mine and no light on when you pull the handle .

my previous E36 and E46 had this feature. Found it handy on occasion. Checking to see if I'd left anything on seats while parked up in the dark without having to unlock.
No biggy that the zed doesn't have it tho wondering if i can code it in Carly.....hmmz
