Replaced mine Johnny non canbus and no problems The light units all unclip.
Which type did you get for the main light. Do you have a festoon or T10 ?
If you order your lights from China you will pay a fraction of the price btw (just have to wait a couple of weeks for them to arrive of course! :( )

Both mine (footwell and main) are the T10 type.
Looks like you have a Festoon (Tube like) for your main light.
As I say check out the prices from Hong kong or china if you are buying any more although there are a few cheap UK suppliers also.
Sometimes just have to swap the bulb round if they do't work first time they are polarity dependant

Odd but I don't have C5W's in my overhead unit, all three (main and maps) are short screw on type that I just can't find in LED.

One thing... Led's are directional... So depending what ones you got may not reflect brightly off the internal mirror.

I got pcb board type on mine... Light the footwells enough to get a tan :)

After some research, I just found a set at bimmian.com for both footwell and overhead. It actually comes as a complete housing assembly, which is nice.

Yes main is Festoon and footwells SMDs ( wots smd ) ?
Its strange that we have 3 different types of cabin light.

Also There are two meanings for 'SMD' one is 'surface mounted device' the other is a little ruder!............... but I suspect some people know that already  *

That's the one I need for my overhead and map lights, but at only 5 LED's, it doesn't look like there's much to give out a good light. How do you find them in actual use and where did you get them from?

They are 'well bright' no problems illuminating! They were from a Ebay 'far east' dealer.
The centre T10 is a tight fit and i took a small file to the circumference of the circuit board and filed it a fraction... Works fine £1.98 for two took a couple of weeks to arrive but I bought other lights at the same time
