All,

My summers fun is coming up for its insurance renewal next week which is apparently going to cost me over a thousand pounds :o I am young (23) so I do expect high insurance, but I do very limited mileage as I use the trains to get to work and back. I was wondering if any of you use any limited mileage insurers or who you may find best to get cheap insurance with.

Have you tried increasing the mileage? There can sometimes be a sweet spot - too low and I guess they know you'll hoon it ;)
A very rough rule of thumb I've found is that approximately half the premium is based on postcode, so even if you halve your risk you'd only see about a quarter reduction.

Chris Knott do a good deal for forum members... give them a try...
 
Inquire about having a black box fitted. It will defeat the object of having a zed but it will bring your premium down significantly.
