if uoy insure your car as social, domestic and pleasure, but then wish to add some business use, any idea how much extra this would add. ...? also if you have a 5000 mile anual limit, and want to increase this by a couple of thousand, is this increase pro rata. i voulenteered a milage limit so if i hadnt the premium may have been the same for unlimited mileage anyway, how should i aproach them over this, ? any advice? .

A thousand or so extra miles may only add 5-10%, but you may pay more in admin charges to do the change.

Mine was about 20% difference between a 10k, SDP policy and my final 25k mile SDP + class 1 business use.

Business use makes no difference to my premium on either the Z or the X5. Makes you wonder why the ask the question really. Policys are with SAGA and Admiral.

Adding more miles will make a difference but I suspect that will be down to the individual insurer.
