Installed X3 Dash Storage Compartment

Decided to install an X3 Dash storage compartment since every little bit of storage room helps in the Z4! It took me a few weekends to complete and was a little harder than I thought it would be. The contours of the X3 compartment is close but not close enough to the Z4 dash and it took numerous hours of careful blending to get it fit correctly. I also added a USB port while I was at it.

Love this idea; well done on giving it a go! Are those screw mounting plates present already? (Or is that just a generic set of plates you've added yourself after measurement?

More importantly what is the black car behind, I do pretty well on Cardle, but that's got me stumped..

Oh and the storage compartment is really good. Excellent job!

It's a fiberglass kit car called a Diva Roadster. It has a 5.7 Liter LS1 engine with a 6 speed manual all in weight is around 1900 -2000 lbs. I hope to finish it one day.

My facelift 1 Series had a storage compartment like that so one of those could be an alternative source for one.

I found it strange that the storage box wasn't offered in the Z4. Especially considering the lack of storage.
