Installed an aux cable, but it won't work

Hey guys,

Basically, I installed an aux cable into the back of the radio, everything fitted perfectly and was the correct cable and adapter for the job. However, when it's connected to my iPod, it wont connect. I can only switch between the CD and radio. Am I missing something? =/

If the radio can not select the Aux, it does not recognise it. Did you fit it in the right quad block?

Yeah it was the correct product for the back of the Z4 radio. Would there be any possibility that my radio doesn't support the addition of an aux?

They all support it. There are a couple of ways to fit it in the quad block though from memory?

I've attached a few images of exactly what i have installed into the back of the radio. The product i purchased stated that it was for my model of Z4 and it is supported. Am I doing something obviously wrong? :P

I've just fitted this cable into mine and it worked fine. Cost only £4.69 delivered. The AUX option now comes up on the stereo.
If you notice on the pictures, there's a box on the cable, which I assume contains those capacitors and resistor. Some cables don't have this and I've read on here that that can be the problem.

Would you mind posting me the website link for the aux cable you purchased? Obviously I've bought one from a crap dealer and it isn't compatible :P
