Inspection II Service.

I used the above company when I booked my Inspection II service, I had never previously used them before and WILL NOT be using them again :x

My car was collected from my H/A and later that day they contacted me saying, extra work was recomneded on my car. Theyt advised on having my spark plugs changed, brake fluid and the coolant which all cost in the region of £150.

They carried out the work n upon them deliver the car back to my H/A they tried to put my car on the driveway n its too low to fit on, I had to run out of the house n strop them in the process.

Drove my car to work the following day n the coolant warning light came on, so i contacted the garage n told them to rectify it. They collected my car from my work n I explained the problem, also that they needed to give the car a proper wash n stamp my service book up to say which service had been carried out. Go the car bak Wed nite n all seemed good on journey home, until I went out in the car later that evening and once again coolant light came on. Back to square one again Thu, I spoke ot the Service Manager who told me they would get the mechanic in the office who had been working on my car and speak to him, who I was told later lost his job. Received a phone call around 12 noon saying I had a leak on the coolant pipe, they would order me a part which will not arrive till Fri and they will ocver all the costs. Rightly so!
I was provided with a Ford Ka as a courtsey car, mm abit of difference in make n model of car their.

Since last Fri, I have been trying to get in contact with the Cusotmer Service Manager at Service Stop to no avail until rinigng again myself yesterday, after ringing on Mon n told sombody will contact you today, I never got that call at all. Spoke with the Cusotmer Service Manager on Wed n was given a load of Cods Whallop excuses about not knowing I had wished to speak with her. I stated that I was looking for some money bak due to the bad service which I had received but we never mentioned a figure, she said she will speak with the acountant n ring me bak within 1/2 this never happened yesterday or today, inc me contacting them and asking for the Cusotmer Service Manager to ring me.

I have received appaling Customer Service from this company and I would not recommend anybody to them. I think I need to take this matter alot further now, either a position above her or a third party compaints company?

Inspection II should have plugs changed anyway, so they shouldn't be charging you for that - unless their small print states that the initial cost only included labour?

Are you sure they've done the rest of the service - i.e. diff & gearbox oils?
 
Not sure with regards to the diff & gearbox oils, they said they do the smae service as BMW but small print does indicate charge for spark plugs!
I have a copy of the worksheet which they used to do the service.

Got offered £50 compensation from Service Stop as a good will gesture, I declined it for a higher figure. Which I'm yet to recieve a reply back to.
 
Did you pay £249 for the service II?

Mine should be something like £409, but because of the car age I was offered £360 - Sytner (eventually) came through though, matching a local specialist for £260 all in - goes in on Friday next week
 
Jesus schweppes the exclusions on the service are bordering on trade description illegal..

Then...

we use genuine parts which are of "Original Equipment" (OE) quality standard.

How can genuine parts be of original equipment standard - surely they are either genuine or not?
 
on the side it states "Long Life Spark Plugs may apply to your BMW Service – subject to additional charges."

sorry to say this mate, but you got ripped off big time.
