Induction kit or K&N panel filter

Hi all,

What would be best...I have a K&N panel filter installed,
Would an induction kit be of any better?
If so what would be the best option,
Would I benefit from a heat shield as well?
If so where could I get one from as I can only find them on the American market.

I would stick with the original paper filter as they are
1-cheap
2-filter better than "performance"filters
3-they don't cause any problems with the maf, unlike some oil coated filters
4-the engine is mapped to run with them.
Regards

As above, induction kits are purely for noise, little to no performance gain. On anything other than an M I wouldn't bother. I did plenty of research on it when I had a 3.0si.
On the other hand a Gruppe M or other on an M car sounds epic and is worth the money, in my opinion anyway!

Solid advice.
