Indicator repeater speed?

Hi,

4 days in Z4 ownership, and I absolutely love it! The only thing that gets on my nerves, is when I put the indicators on, it repeats so quickly, I keep thinking I have a bulb out

Can I change the relay, for one with a slower speed so to speak? Or am I going to head down a rabbit hole of recoding etc.
 
It's digitally controlled by the dash cluster (you can program different flash speeds for the hazards, for example).

Changing relays is not the correct route unfortunately.

Are you sure it's not mistaking LEDs for a blown bulb or something?
 
Read the codes. Had a similar issue with a facelift and it turned out to be an issue with the rear left light red LED bar across the top. Had a high resistance, but everything was working ok. Somehow it affected the indicators and made it think there was a bulb out. I used Scanner 1.4 to code out the checks to the rear light and it all started to work properly again.

All the bulbs are standard, as far as I'm aware. I've ordered 4No chrome/orange indicators bulbs for the front, so I'll investigate when I install them :)

Thanks, i'll look into BMW scanner 1.4 and probably get a Carly whilst I'm at it.

If you get the scanner 1.4 you won't need Carly.
